About
Today I serve on the boards of Monetate, Thrive TRM and WireSecure. I also coach select CEOs and mentor at TechStars and the German Accelerator.
During my 20+ years as an entrepreneur and CEO, I founded and/or led venture capital-backed technology companies including Monetate, Real Food Works, Cuts.com, ClickEquations, TurnTide, and Destiny Software. I won many awards, most notably the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and I was named one of Consulting Magazine's 25 Most Influential Consultants.
I have a BA in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, where I played varsity basketball, and an MBA in Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School. I am an Eisenhower Fellow. I also complete the CEO Academy, an Aspen Seminar, Outward Bound, and the National Outdoor Leadership School. I recently won the International Shotokan Karate Federation’s senior kumite National Championship.
I have two daughters, one of whom is severely disabled by Lyme Disease (chronic or post-treatment). I have structured my life around caring for her.
